If you’re reading this, you probably realized social media isn’t a good way to grow your business. In fact, it actually feels like starting a brand new business because it takes so much time and energy. But there is a better way.

My main objection is that even after you’ve built it, you have to keep posting new content. Otherwise your number of visitors starts to fall immediately.

A Better Way

My preferred method for business growth is blog.

And this is because it has many advantages over social media.

For starters, the value of the content you produce increases with time. While social media is more focused on what’s happening now.

So a perfectly crafted social media post from 1-2 months ago is practically worthless and most likely no one will ever see it again.

Blog has this value equation that is completely in reverse. The older the content it is the better. And as the time passes by, it brings you more and more visitors.

Walk The Talk

What you’re reading now is a blog. I invested zero marketing budget in its promotion. All I’m doing is writing useful content around the topics my target market might find interesting (SEO). And some of my visitors will see the products I offer, realize they are awesome, and decide to buy them to improve their business.

That is the whole wisdom.

Delay

Most people want the results now.

And the only way you can do that is by paying the ads and hoping they are profitable. Otherwise you’re losing your money.

With your blog, you cannot lose money. And it works forever.

The only drawback is you have to wait 3-6 months before your website starts seriously showing on search results pages.

To many people this seems like a long time but time flies so fast. Just think what were you doing 6 months ago. Had you written only one blog post per week, you’d have a decent blog by now. And would start to get some real traffic to your website. (for free, forever)

Wouldn’t that be a nice situation to be?

All I can say is: don’t let the same thing happen again in the next 6 months.

The Key Component

Obviously, it is not all that simple. If you started writing your blog 6 months ago you might still have zero visitors and potential customers to your website.

Why?

Because you fell into a trap of using the same keywords as everybody else. And the keywords that are everybody trying to compete for are almost impossible to win.

That is why you should be smarter about it. Go for keywords very few people are trying to rank for.

In my case, I’m using the keywords that almost no one can find. Not even the professional keyword tools that cost up to $400 per month.

And then ranking for such keywords is very easy. If you’re reading this, you’re the living proof this method works.
