There are two paths you can take:

  1. If you’re not in a big hurry for income, then this article explains what you need to do in order to make your business indestructible
  2. If you want to generate decent income right away, you can check out my story about how I got into premium writing

The good news is that nearly any idea you can think of can produce additional income. The bad news is that most of the projects fail because no one ever hears about them.

So the only business problem you need to solve is web traffic.

The biggest obstacle people face when trying to build a sustainable business is a short-term “lottery mindset”.

Thinking that focuses on trying to make a single video that is going to go viral, and everyone will know about your product, and sales are going to explode.

Well… that is not going to happen.

But I do offer an alternative.

Alternative

Instead of chasing quick fixes, why not just build out a system that is nearly guaranteed to work in 3-6 months?

What I specifically talk about is organic search traffic (SEO).

But many people say it takes too long or that it’s too hard.

For the “too long” argument, I can only say: if you think this is slow, why don’t you try “quick” methods (paid ads, social media, etc.) to find out what really slow and really expensive feels like.

(I have no problem waiting for you 12+ months after you wasted 12h hours every day tweeting, tiktoking, or whatever you initially thought was going to be quick&easy way to promote your business.)

Smarter Way

The best way to succeed at anything is to either be first or to be last:

  • Whoever gets in first gets the best results (but since you weren’t the first on any major social media, you can only forget about it)
  • Whoever gets in last after everyone has already quit and abandoned the platform and hype is below zero – that is where opportunities hide (in plain sight, basically)

What platform is so under-hyped that no one is paying attention to it?

Blogging and SEO.

(And guess where I decided to go? What is this text you’re reading right now? That’s right, a blog.)

Avoid The Herd

SEO is not too hard (unless you do what everyone does).

Because it’s true – a bunch of people are trying to compete for the same keywords, which makes it nearly impossible to win.

You can probably guess – I do not go for the same keywords as everybody else.

In fact, the keywords I’m competing for are so hard to find that even professional keyword tools that cost up to $400 (per month) cannot find them.

Which means: I have very little competition.

This makes SEO very easy for me.

And with free web traffic, no business can ever fail.

Because there is always someone coming to your website, and someone will eventually buy something.

It’s just a numbers game.

And if you want to learn how to find these keywords as well, then check out this SEO book.
